About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead a high-profile office refurbishment project in Richmond. This is a key position delivering a comprehensive fit-out that meets modern workplace standards and sustainability credentials.
You will manage all aspects of the project from pre-construction through completion, ensuring quality delivery, budgetary control, and on-time handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall project leadership, coordination, and delivery across all trades and suppliers
- Detailed project planning, scheduling, and resource management
- Quality assurance and compliance with building regulations and health & safety legislation
- Cost control and budget management with monthly reporting
- Client liaison and stakeholder communication
- Coordination with architects, engineers, and specialist contractors
- Progress monitoring and risk management
- Site management and site-based documentation
- Handover and post-completion support
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years' experience as a construction project manager on commercial office fit-out projects
- Proven track record delivering projects across London and South East
- Strong knowledge of commercial office refurbishment processes and standards
- Comprehensive understanding of WELL Building Standard and/or BREEAM certification requirements
- Formal qualification in construction management or related discipline (CIOB, RICS, or equivalent)
- Health & Safety qualification (SMSTS or CITB preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience with phased fit-outs in occupied buildings
- Knowledge of MEP systems and specifications
- Project management software proficiency (Aconex, Oracle Primavera, or similar)
- Understanding of sustainable construction practices
