Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Baristas / Retail Assistants to join our vibrant team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving high-quality food and beverages. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a positive experience to customers, maintaining high standards of food safety, and working efficiently within a fast-paced setting. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided to ensure you excel in your role.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist customers with their orders in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, snacks, or other light food items in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly to uphold food safety standards.
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Restock supplies as needed throughout the shift to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Follow all food safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Support team members during peak hours by assisting with additional tasks as required.
Experience
- Previous experience as a barista needed if applying for barista role, for retail assistant experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the role.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred to maintain hygiene standards effectively.
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy is highly valued.
- Good time management skills are necessary to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
