Tradeglaze is an award-winning manufacturer and installer of bespoke windows and doors, serving trade, commercial and domestic customers across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Production Administrator / Order Processor to join our technical and production team.
Previous experience within the window and door industry is not essential. Full training will be provided.
We are looking for someone with a strong computer-based administrative background who is organised, accurate and confident working with detailed information. You will be trained to use specialist industry software and develop the technical knowledge required to process customer orders into information that can be used by our manufacturing teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move from a general administration role into a more specialised and technical career.
What You’ll Be Doing
Production & Order Administration
- Input and process customer orders using specialist computer software.
- Check order information carefully for accuracy and completeness.
- Produce paperwork and documentation for our manufacturing teams.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and order information.
- Liaise with colleagues to resolve missing or unclear information.
- Help ensure orders progress smoothly from receipt through to manufacture.
- Work with detailed product information, measurements and specifications.
Technical Order Processing
As your knowledge and experience develop, you will be trained to:
- Process aluminium and uPVC window and door orders.
- Use specialist industry software including LogiKal and Windows Designer.
- Produce manufacturing information, cutting lists and CNC data.
- Read and interpret drawings, surveys and customer specifications.
- Understand different window and door systems, products and components.
- Optimise materials and help improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Assist with quotations and technical enquiries.
Wider Support
The role will also provide opportunities to gain experience in:
- Estimating and quotations.
- Purchasing and material ordering.
- Stock and material planning.
- CAD and technical drawings.
- Product development.
- Continuous improvement of our production and administrative processes.
About You
You do not need previous window, door or manufacturing experience. We are more interested in finding someone with the right skills, attitude and ability to learn.
Essential
- Previous experience in an administrative or computer-based role.
- Confident using computers and learning new software.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working with numbers, measurements and detailed information.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Confident communicating with colleagues across different departments.
- A logical approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge.
Desirable – But Not Essential
Any of the following would be useful, but full training can be provided:
- Experience within manufacturing, construction or a technical environment.
- Experience processing customer orders.
- Experience working with drawings, plans or measurements.
- CAD experience.
- Experience with specialist order-processing or manufacturing software.
- Previous knowledge of windows, doors or the fenestration industry.

For the right person, we will provide the training and support needed to develop from a Production Administrator into a skilled Order Processor, with opportunities to gain experience in estimating, CAD, purchasing and other technical areas of the business.
