To provide expert income maximisation advice for those, accessing the Crisis Resilience Fund under the Let’s Talk Money programme. The aim is ensure clients can move away from the initial crisis moment and move towards long term sustainable financial security.
This will include identifying new sources of income through general benefit checks, assistance, and support with new applications, while also providing casework support for benefit appeals. You will need an up-to-date knowledge of the welfare benefits system, strong background in the delivery of high-quality advice and comprehensive understanding of all aspects involved in making and maintaining benefits claims including challenging benefits decisions.
The successful candidate will be able to work well without supervision, while having a high work ethic and will deliver high quality advice which is representative of the quality standards at Citizens Advice BCP.
Applicants need to be computer-literate, although training will be given. You must be confident in working to quality and performance targets. Good communications skills, both written and verbal are essential in the role, as is excellent customer service skills with a non-judgemental approach. A background in advice giving is desirable but not essential.
