We have an opportunity for a General Maintenance Supervisor to join our plant based in Knottingley.
The role is responsible for leading the day to day operation of the General Maintenance department. Including the efficient operation of the batch plant & furnace and all aspects of engineering except the IS maintenance area.
The role is working Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, overtime is available. Premiums are paid for bank holiday working.
OTE of up to £55,000 per annum including overtime & premiums.

Stoelzle Flaconnage is deemed Stoelzle’s centre of excellence concerning development, production and decoration of Premium Spirits Bottles, with the capability to produce glass containers from 5cl up to 4.5l in extra white flint glass or feeder colouration. Due to the utmost flexibility, the site is able to also manufacture small batches for limited editions of luxury brands.
Responsibilities
· Provide an engineering service to the rest of the site;
· Assistance in the preparation of annual budgets;
· Ensure that costs are managed within the department;
· Liaison with department heads to ensure that all engineering work is undertaken;
· Ensure that company vehicles are registered & maintained;
· Ensure that the department has sufficient resources to perform its daily tasks;
· Maintain clock in accuracy on the Time & Attendance system;
· Manage the team to ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed including but not limited to absence management, performance & conduct;
· Deliverance of training & acknowledging talent within the team;
· Ensure all work areas are in a safe and secure state to not endanger themselves or others;
· Ensure all the relevant paperwork is correctly completed;
· Undertaking other duties as requested by the Departmental Managers or other company Managers.
Skills & Qualifications Required
· Have experience in a similar or relevant role;
· Ideally have experience of leading a team of engineers;
· Ideally apprentice trained;
· Knowledge needed of mechanical equipment and installations;
· NVQ Level 3 or above in engineering;
· Effective team leadership skills;
· Professional approach;
· Someone who can work independently, multitask, organise & prioritise workloads;
· Dexterity and good technical ability;
· Practically minded, able to roll sleeves up and get stuck in;
· Good working knowledge of MS Office;
· Ability to remain focused.
