Chef de Partie
Reporting to the Head Chef, Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef
Join a respected 4‑star hotel kitchen delivering modern, seasonal plates to a high standard across restaurant, bar, banqueting, and room dining. We’re looking for a driven Chef de Partie who thrives on pace, precision, and pride in every plate.
About the role
- Run your section with confidence across prep and service, maintaining standards and mise en place.
- Cook and plate consistently to spec for restaurant, lounge, events, and room service.
- Uphold hotel-level hygiene, HACCP, and allergen procedures; keep your section audit‑ready.
- Support menu development, tastings, and seasonal changeovers.
- Mentor Commis and Demi CDPs; foster a calm, can‑do team culture.
- Contribute to stock control, portioning, and waste reduction to hit GP targets.
What we’re looking for
- 1–2+ years in quality hotels or high‑volume restaurants.
- Solid classic techniques: sauces, butchery/veg prep and modern presentation.
- Strong organisation and communication; cool under pressure and service‑focused.
- Understanding of cost, GP, and portion control.
- Food Safety Level 2+ (or willingness to obtain promptly).
- Right to work in the UK and good spoken English.
