About Us:
The Hay Shed is a growing business dedicated to supplying premium-quality hay and forage products to the small pet market. As demand for our products continues to grow, we are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and conscientious individual to join our production team.
The Role:
We are looking for a motivated and dependable individual to join our team. Occasional Saturday morning work and overtime may be required during busy periods.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, good attention to detail and a willingness to learn new machinery and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and monitoring hay processing and bagging machines
- Preparing and organising stock for production and dispatch
- Operating a forklift to load and unload materials for the production line, where trained and authorised to do so
- Conducting quality checks throughout the production process to ensure products meet our quality standards
- Working with other team members to meet daily production targets and resolve any operational issues promptly
- Assisting with stock control and stock-taking activities
- Supporting and working alongside our order team
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
About You:
Please note that regular manual handling and physical work are an integral part of this role.

- Have previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment — an advantage but not essential
- Have previous forklift experience — preferred but not essential, as training can be provided
