Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment to ensure optimal operation. Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on cars & 4x4s and equipment using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and maintenance.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly tools effectively.
- Assist in the installation, assembly, and modification of machinery as required.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large or cumbersome components.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns professionally during service calls or maintenance visits.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and manuals.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Experience with equipment installation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance programmes.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with a proactive attitude towards safety standards.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during service interactions.
