Location: Twyford School, Winchester, Hampshire
Hours: Full-time (52 weeks).
Duties and Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate financial records using finance systems and spreadsheets
· Preparation of fee invoices ensuring the correct VAT treatment is applied
· Process fee payments, invoices, and refunds accurately and efficiently. Respond professionally to billing queries. Manage any ad hoc and irregular invoicing
· Monitor outstanding balances to support the timely collection of all payments. Chase late fee payers
· Liaise with the Registrar regarding pupil Registration and Acceptance Fees, new starters & leavers to ensure timely and accurate records are maintained
· Manage the Early Years funding process
· Process purchase invoices, resolve purchase ledger issues, check supplier accounts and the reconciliation of bank & credit card statements
· Liaise with suppliers and staff regarding payments and queries. Maintain accurate records for audit and reporting purposes
· Liaise with the Commercial Manager to ensure timely and accurate invoicing of commercial income and debt collection
· Invoice the peripatetic music teachers for their room hire
· Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of the cash flow
· Assist the Finance Manager with the annual audit process
· Manage the Petty Cash ledger from beginning to end
· Maintain the School’s stock of general stationery
· Manage and apply for gift aid on eligible charitable donations
· Lead on the financial administration of school trips
· Ensure the franking machine is maintained, outgoing post is appropriately franked and taken to the post office.
· Manage the shared mailboxes and provide general administrative support to the Finance Department
· Check deliveries are marked for the correct budget holder.
· Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and procedures, assist with updating as appropriate.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade 5/C or above (or equivalent).
- Strong numeracy skills, ideally supported by A Level Mathematics or evidence of equivalent capability.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
