Responsibilities
- Assist experienced electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Support in reading technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications to aid in electrical tasks.
- Help with the organisation and preparation of work sites to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Carry out routine inspections of electrical components to identify potential issues or hazards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Learn to troubleshoot basic electrical problems and assist in resolving issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in electrical work is advantageous.
- Prior electrical experience or relevant coursework is preferred but not essential; a keen interest in learning the trade is required.
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training programmes.
