HGV Technician
Are you a Level 3 qualified technician looking for a new opportunity? Do you have previous experience of working in a workshop environment?
Here at Norfolk Trucks, we are looking for an experienced technician to join our Norwich depot on a full-time permanent basis working on a split-shift pattern, working on a diverse range of modern vehicles.
The ideal candidate will ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
Hours: Earlies/Lates 06:00 – 14:00 / 16:00 – 00:00 alternative Saturdays 06:00 -12:00 at overtime rate
Location: Norwich, NR7
Key Responsibilities:
- Servicing, repair and maintenance on HGVs and LCVs.
- Adhere and comply to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
- Assist in the fault diagnosis process. Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair.
- Ensure that the company time recording procedures are complied with and that job cards are completed accurately.
- Follow instructions from the job card / repair order to Manufacturer standards
- Ensure that the workshop facilities, equipment, and tools are kept clean, tidy and maintained.
You will need:
- Qualified to City & Guilds Level or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Technically competent in the repair and maintenance of HGVs
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels
- To develop or work in developing new or enhancing existing processes
- Flexible and quick to adapt, committed to continuous learning and professional development through training initiatives
Desirable:
- Hold a Class 1 or Class 2 licence
- Main dealer experience advantageous
