Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Digital Marketing Executive to promote our online digital marketing platform and mobile app to local businesses across Reading, Berkshire.
This is a field-based role that involves visiting local shops, retailers, service providers, and other businesses throughout the city. You will introduce business owners to our platform, explain its benefits, demonstrate key website and app features, and help them register as vendors on our online marketplace.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships, and helping local businesses grow through digital marketing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit local small, medium, and large businesses throughout Reading and surrounding areas.
- Introduce and explain our digital marketing website and mobile application to business owners and managers.
- Conduct live demonstrations of platform features and benefits.
- Explain how businesses can increase their online visibility, attract more customers, and generate sales through our platform.
- Answer questions and provide professional guidance regarding the platform's services.
- Assist businesses with vendor registration and account setup.
- Collect business information and onboard new vendors successfully.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local business owners.
- Achieve weekly and monthly vendor acquisition targets.
- Provide feedback from businesses to help improve our platform and services.
- Maintain accurate records of visits, leads, and vendor sign-ups.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in speaking with business owners and decision-makers.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing, websites, mobile apps, and online business platforms.
- Strong sales, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and target-driven.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily travel schedules.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and online systems.
- Previous experience in sales, business development, marketing, customer service, or field marketing is preferred but not essential.
- Valid UK driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
