The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Diagnostic Imaging for a Service Support Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of one of Scotland's largest Diagnostic Imaging services.
You will play a key role in supporting service delivery, driving innovation, and helping to ensure patients receive timely access to high-quality imaging services across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

The post is based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital within the South Sector Imaging Departments across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

The normal working hours for this post are Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm.
- The role is subject to Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, and there may be occasions where flexibility will be required to support service demands across the operational hours of the Imaging Service.
Key responsibilities:
As one of three Service Support Managers, you will lead and develop the Imaging Administration service, driving performance against key local and national targets.
Through effective leadership, workforce planning, data analysis, and service improvement, you will work in partnership with clinical and operational teams across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to deliver high-quality, responsive services for patients.
This key management post is responsible for leading and managing administrative services across the South Sector Imaging Departments, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in line with organisational objectives.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Substantial knowledge and experience gained within a complex operational service environment.

Strong administrative management experience.

Proven experience of leading and developing teams.

Experience of driving service improvement.

Knowledge and experience of workforce planning.

Experience of using data analysis to monitor and improve service performance.
