Job description:
Yards Store is a premium menswear independent store based for the last seven years in the heart of Manchester City Centre, just off St Anne's Square.
We retail clothing, accessories and footwear from brands such as Gramicci, RRL by Ralph Lauren, ST95, Ten C, And Wander, Carhartt, Sunspel, Red Wing, New Balance, and many more. We also have a thriving online business and our head office is based just outside Manchester.
This is a full time position based on 40 hours per week and will include weekend work. The Salary is £28000 with a generous company bonus scheme.
You will be responsible, along side the Branch Manger for the recruitment, training and organisation of your team; delivering the highest quality customer service; acquiring a full understanding of the products; working closely with our head office team to ensure the store is stocked to capacity at all times; implementing merchandising guidelines and maintaining impeccable store standards; exceeding your KPI’s including sales targets and maximising the store profitability.
You will be responsible for the running of the store on the Managers days off and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the store, including sales, customer service, and inventory management
- Ensure that the store is clean, well-stocked and immaculately merchandised at all times
- Recruit, train, motivate and supervise store staff to provide excellent customer service and meet sales targets
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely manner
- Feedback to and work closely with our head office buying team and warehouse to ensure the product offering is geared towards maximising sales and fulfilling local demand
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Experience in retail management is essential
