Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Folkestone, in this role you will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, producing management reports, and supporting clients with accurate, insightful financial information. You will play a key role in delivering outstanding service and helping our clients thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Complete day-to-day bookkeeping tasks accurately, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
Prepare bookkeeping records through to Trial Balance, including entering opening and closing balances for adjusted trial balances and supporting the year-end process.
Calculate and post year-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other necessary adjustments.
Maintain a complete and accurate audit trail by filing and referencing documentation promptly.
Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and in line with statutory deadlines.
Perform regular bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Produce management reports to help clients understand their financial performance and position.
Build and maintain positive client relationships, providing professional and responsive support.
Use accounting software, including Xero and Microsoft Excel, to improve efficiency and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal procedures.
Manage workloads effectively to meet deadlines and agreed time budgets.
Key Requirements
AAT/ ACCA (part) qualified
Use software such as Xero and Excel to streamline processes and ensure accurate reporting.
Additional Requirements

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
