Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Paint Sprayer / Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint and powder coatings to various products, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience in coating processes.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning or masking prior to coating application.
- Operate spray guns, powder coating equipment, and other hand tools to apply finishes accurately.
- Set up and calibrate equipment to ensure proper coating thickness and quality.
- Perform quality checks on finished products, inspecting for colour consistency and surface defects.
- Maintain equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with fabrication or assembly tasks as required during production cycles.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure efficient workflow.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools and hand tools proficiently.
- Experience with fabrication, assembly, or construction painting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of welding and the use of welding equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control standards.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow safety procedures diligently.
