We’re looking for a Field Service Manager to lead our network of engineers and ensure efficient operations, delivering excellent service to our customers.
The Role
As Field Service Manager, you will act as the operational hub for a team of field-based engineers across the UK. Working from our Bournemouth office, you’ll oversee performance, support Team Leaders, and ensure service delivery meets business and customer expectations.
This is a hands-on operational leadership role suited to someone who thrives on organisation, accountability, and getting the best out of remote teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily scheduling and job allocation across the engineer network
- Monitor performance against SLAs and KPIs, proactively addressing issues
- Support and develop Team Leaders and engineers through regular communication and coaching
- Manage parts ordering and supplier relationships
- Ensure fleet compliance (MOTs, servicing, tyres, vehicle checks)
- Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing development of engineers
- Conduct one-to-ones, appraisals, and performance reviews
- Produce reports and identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency
About You
- Proven experience managing field-based or remote engineering teams
- Strong operational and organisational skills
- Experience working with scheduling systems and performance tracking
- Technically minded with the ability to support engineers day-to-day
- Experience managing fleet compliance is advantageous
- A confident, people-focused leader who drives accountability and engagement
- Comfortable using digital tools for communication and reporting
- Within commuting distance of Bournemouth
