Help Build Our Kitchen from Day One
We're looking for a talented and passionate Chef to join our brand-new independent coffee and wine bar in the heart of Sprotbrough.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an exciting new adventure from the very beginning. Although we're a small kitchen operation, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, working closely with the owners to deliver consistently high-quality food and help shape our growing food offering.
Our vision is to create a destination where outstanding food, speciality coffee, carefully selected wines and handcrafted cocktails come together in a relaxed yet refined setting. As our Chef, you'll play a key role in bringing that vision to life.
The Role
As our Chef, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring every dish is prepared to an exceptional standard while maintaining a clean, organised and efficient working environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality food to a consistently high standard.
- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of our the kitchen.
- Working with the owners to develop menus and seasonal specials.
- Maintaining excellent presentation and consistency across every service.
- Managing stock levels, ordering supplies and minimising waste.
- Monitoring food costs and maintaining efficient kitchen operations.
- Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene, HACCP and Health & Safety legislation.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation at all times.
- Supporting, guiding and helping develop any future kitchen team members as the business grows.
- Working closely with the front-of-house team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Bringing new ideas, creativity and enthusiasm to help continually improve our food offering.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Chef, Senior Chef, Sous Chef or similar.
- Is confident working independently and taking ownership of a kitchen.
- Has a genuine passion for producing fresh, high-quality food.
- Takes pride in consistency, presentation and attention to detail.
- Is organised, reliable and able to work calmly during busy service periods.
- Understands stock control, ordering and kitchen efficiency.
- Has excellent knowledge of food safety, HACCP and hygiene standards.
- Enjoys contributing ideas and helping develop menus and seasonal specials.
- Wants to be part of building an exciting independent hospitality business from the ground up.
