This opportunity is within our Digital Service, which is responsible for the University’s use of digital systems and services that support teaching and learning across our four campuses. As part of the Digital Solutions Team, you will collaborate with a variety of teams gaining technical knowledge and experience with a wide number of enterprise technologies. You will be supporting the design, building and testing of high-quality software solutions.
On a day-to-day basis your main responsibilities will include:

Writing, testing, and debugging code.

Participating in code reviews to learn from feedback and improve coding skills.

Collaborating with team members on project tasks, working effectively within a development team.

Supporting the testing process by writing unit tests, performing manual tests, and helping to identify and fix bugs.

Maintaining accurate documentation of code.

Maintaining and updating existing software by identifying and fixing bugs, and implementing enhancements, providing support for ongoing projects.

Providing technical and user support, covering all aspects of digital systems.
As part of the Digital Solutions Team, you will be working on:

We are looking for curious and daring individuals with a passion for technology to join us within our Digital Solutions Team in the role of Solutions Developer.
To be successful in this role you will need experience in software development and working with databases, knowledge and experience of languages and frameworks such as NestJS, PL/SQL, SITS SRL, have excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrate good attention to detail. You will need a positive professional attitude, good organisational skills and a strong work ethic to work with our team. Qualifications requirements are a degree in a related computing subject or equivalent qualification or experience.
