Full Time Barista: We are looking for a part-time/full-time experienced Barista to join our small, friendly team. The part-time Barista will assist the Café Supervisor and Café Manager through playing a part in the daily operation and service of the Café.
Main Duties:
1. Hands on role in the delivery of food and drinks and all aspects of customer service in the Café.
2. Oversee the timely provision of drinks and food to a consistently high standard.
3. Follow established procedures and be accountable in order to ensure that the Café is fully compliant with appropriate health and safety, and food safety legislation.
4. Support the supervisor and/or manager in setting up and cleaning up.
5. Ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers, other staff and volunteers.
6. Assist with stock taking and deliveries.
7. Help with making up sandwiches for the day.
Person Specification:
Essential:
1. Minimum of 1 year in the café service industry.
2. Be compliant with appropriate health and safety, and food legislation.
3. Calm, positive and friendly attitude with an attention to detail.
4. Punctual in time keeping and reliable.
5. Able to work weekends. Must include two Saturdays a month and possibly Sunday.
6. Be willing to cover other staff members if they call in sick.
7. Good communication skills (written and verbal).
8. Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
1. Trained in coffee art
