Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents in a care home environment, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your leadership skills will help supervise and guide junior staff members, promote independence among residents, and contribute to creating a warm, respectful community. Duties
- Deliver personalized care to residents in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring their needs are met with kindness and professionalism
- Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and leadership to maintain high standards of care
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility while promoting independence
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including updating resident records and care plans using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care delivery
- Support the implementation of health and safety procedures to create a safe environment for all residents and staff
- Drive or assist with transportation needs for residents when required, ensuring safe and timely transfers
Skills
- Proven experience in senior or care home settings with supervising responsibilities
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with residents, families, and colleagues
- Knowledge of care plans, health & safety protocols, and regulatory standards within a care environment
- Competence in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation duties or supporting resident outings
- Ability to work confidently on weekends (Friday through Sunday) with flexibility for shift adjustments if needed

Pay: £15.00 per hour
