Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff during service, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and excellence in all culinary offerings
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor stock levels, assist with stock ordering, and manage storage procedures
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and knowledge
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment throughout shifts
- Contribute to menu planning and development alongside the Head Chef
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings preferred
- Knowledge of food production techniques and restaurant operations
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of food and hygeine safety procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service through exceptional cuisine
