The Harrogate Bus Company, part of the award-winning Transdev Blazefield, is looking for a skilled and experienced Body Repair Person to join our engineering team in Harrogate.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the UK's most recognised bus operators, helping to maintain our modern fleet to the highest standards of safety, presentation and reliability. You'll play a key role in ensuring our vehicles are repaired, maintained and returned to service in excellent condition following accident damage and wear and tear.

The role
As a Body Repair Person, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance to company vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of safety, quality and presentation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out accident and collision repair work on company vehicles
- Completing repairs relating to vandalism and general body damage
- Rectifying bodywork defects identified through inspections and defect reporting processes
- Completing minor paint repairs and refinishing work
- Repairing and maintaining fibreglass bodywork components
- Carrying out welding and fabrication work where required
- Ensuring vehicles are maintained in a safe, roadworthy and presentable condition
- Recording repair information accurately to support insurance claims and departmental performance measures
- Working closely with engineering colleagues to support fleet availability and operational performance
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment and complying with all health and safety requirements
What are we looking for?
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent in Body Repair, Vehicle Refinishing or a related discipline
- Proven experience in vehicle body repair and accident damage repair
- Experience carrying out vehicle preparation and paint repairs
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- A full UK driving licence
