Wraparound Care Club Manager – Breakfast & After School Club | Term Time Role
£13.18-£16.50 per hour dependant on Payscale band.
Monday–Friday | Permanent | Part-Time | Term Time Only
Ready to take the next step in your childcare career?
Do you love working with children and have the confidence to lead a team, take ownership of a busy childcare setting and create an outstanding experience for children and families?
Creative Kidz Childcare Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and nurturing Club Manager to lead one of our Breakfast and After School Clubs Which has just been awarded a Strong Standard Ofsted report.
We are a family-run childcare provider with over 20 years’ experience delivering high-quality childcare in schools. Our Club Managers are at the heart of our provision – leading their team, maintaining high standards and making sure every child feels safe, happy, included and excited to come to club.
This is a hands-on management role. You’ll be leading from the front: supporting children, managing your team, overseeing safeguarding and daily operations, communicating with families and the school, and making sure the club runs smoothly from start to finish.
Hours
Monday to Friday – Term Time Only
- Breakfast Club: 7:20am – 8:50am
- After School Club: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
- Overtime opportunities available
The split-shift hours make this role particularly suitable for someone looking for a management position that still fits around the school day.
Please note: Due to limited public transport at some of our locations, being a driver or living locally is preferred.
We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Club Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the club, supported by our senior management team.
You’ll lead a team of Activity Leaders/Playworkers and make sure that children receive a consistently high-quality childcare experience.
Your role will include:
- Leading, motivating and supporting your childcare team
- Taking responsibility for the safe and effective day-to-day running of the club
- Creating a warm, welcoming, inclusive and fun environment for children
- Ensuring children are appropriately supervised and their safety and wellbeing remain the highest priority
- Taking responsibility for safeguarding within the setting and reporting concerns appropriately
- Ensuring company policies, procedures and statutory requirements are followed
- Organising and overseeing a varied programme of activities based around children’s ages, interests and abilities
- Supporting children with SEND, medical needs, allergies and individual requirements
- Promoting positive behaviour, confidence, friendships and independence
- Ensuring safe registration, collection and handover procedures are followed
- Overseeing breakfast, snacks and mealtimes, including dietary and allergy requirements
- Completing day-to-day administration and maintaining accurate records
- Monitoring resources, equipment and the overall safety and presentation of the club
- Supporting staff induction, training, development, supervision and performance
- Leading and contributing to team meetings
- Maintaining excellent communication with parents and carers
- Building positive professional relationships with the host school and other stakeholders
- Working closely with the Creative Kidz senior management team
- Being a positive role model and ambassador for Creative Kidz
This Isn’t a Desk-Based Management Role
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being right at the heart of the club.
One minute you might be supporting a member of staff, the next talking to a parent, checking a safeguarding record, helping organise an activity or joining children in a game.
You’ll need to be comfortable leading by example, making decisions and taking responsibility while still being approachable, positive and fun.
