We're looking for a General Foreman to join our construction team based in Brighton or Chatham.
Location: Brighton or Chatham
Hours: 40 hours per week - the person is needed on site for on-site supervision

As a General Foreman, you'll play a vital role in managing safety onsite and ensuring all tasks are carried out with the highest level of expertise and skill. Working closely with the Works Manager and Construction Manager, you'll be instrumental in coordinating site operations, supervising teams, and maintaining the exceptional standards Kier is known for. What will you be responsible for?
As a General Foreman, you'll be working within the construction team, supporting them in delivering safe, high-quality construction projects. Your day to day will include:
- Managing safety onsite, including delivering inductions, Toolbox Talks, and Daily Task Briefings to Site Operatives
- Supervising site activities and coordinating both Kier and supply chain resources to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently
- Allocating duties to Site Operatives and monitoring their work to ensure it's within their skill levels
- Organising and requisitioning site equipment, plant and materials to ensure timely completion of works
- Maintaining daily records of site activities and contributing to the development of risk assessments and method statements
What are we looking for?
This role of General Foreman is great for you if:
- You have demonstrated knowledge and practical experience of setting up and running a construction site
- You hold an NVQ Level 1/2 qualification
- You possess a CSCS card (Supervisor - Gold, Experienced Supervisor or Manager) and SSSTS certification
- You have a Full driving licence
- You're passionate about safety and creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and work safely.
