About Us
Pipers & Co is a young food business with ambitious plans.
We work with independent farmers and artisan producers from across Britain, helping more people discover exceptional food produced with care, respect and craftsmanship.
We're a small team, which means everyone makes a genuine contribution. Ideas are welcomed, responsibility is shared, and when something needs doing, we simply get on with it.
The Role
We're looking for someone to help more people discover Pipers & Co.
This is a varied role centred around building relationships, creating opportunities and helping bring our brand to life.
You'll work closely with our Brand Director, helping turn ideas into partnerships, campaigns, press coverage and collaborations that introduce new customers to the business.
Some days you'll be speaking to journalists or creators. Others you'll be organising product launches, researching new partnership opportunities or helping deliver a campaign from start to finish.
If you enjoy variety, taking ownership and making things happen, you'll enjoy this role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Press & PR
- Building relationships with journalists, editors and food writers.
- Organising and managing press sample campaigns.
- Pitching stories about our producers, products and business.
Partnerships
- Finding organisations, brands and communities that are a natural fit for Pipers & Co.
- Developing partnerships that introduce new audiences to the business.
- Supporting our creator and ambassador programmes.
Campaigns
- Helping plan and deliver seasonal campaigns.
- Coordinating launches and collaborations.
- Keeping projects moving and making sure ideas become reality.
Growth
- Looking for new ways to introduce people to Pipers & Co.
- Researching opportunities worth exploring.
- Measuring what worked and using those insights to improve future campaigns.
You'll be measured on coverage earned and audiences reached, not on activity completed.
What We're Looking For
We're much more interested in attitude than ticking every box.
You might already work in marketing, PR, partnerships, hospitality, events or another role where communication and relationships are important.
More importantly, you'll probably recognise yourself in the following:
- You enjoy meeting people and building relationships.
- You communicate well, particularly in writing.
- You're organised and naturally proactive.
- You like taking ownership rather than waiting for instructions.
- You enjoy solving problems and making things happen.
- You're commercially curious and interested in how businesses grow.
- You have an interest in great food and where it comes from.
Experience is helpful, but enthusiasm, curiosity and the right attitude matter far more. For someone early in their career, it's an opportunity to gain experience across brand, PR, partnerships, campaigns and customer acquisition, while helping build a business from the ground up.
Most importantly:
You want responsibility rather than direction. If you'd rather be handed a brief every Monday, this isn't the role.
What We Offer
- £27,000 to £31,000 full time equivalent, depending on experience.
- 24 hours a week, structured as three full days rather than five short ones, because this work needs uninterrupted stretches. We'll flex which days
- Hybrid working, a mix of remote and time at our Cullompton base
- Real ownership from day one, over how we acquire customers and build the brand
- Room to grow. As the business grows we expect hours and scope to grow with it for the right person
- A part in a business backing British farming and genuinely exceptional food
Pay: £27,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Company pension
- Employee discount
- On-site parking
- Work from home
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Cullompton
