Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a General Operative to join our Operations team.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will support our specialist road surfacing operations across the UK. This is a hands-on role involving regular travel to customer sites, operating specialist company machinery, and assisting with a variety of site-based activities at our depot.
Full training and industry-recognised accreditations will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a growing and successful business.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company machinery and specialist equipment on customer sites nationwide and at our depot.
- Assist with site set-up, operational activities, and general labouring duties.
- Travel to sites across the UK from our Manor Farm base.
- Ensure work is carried out safely and to the highest standards.
- Support the wider Operations team with day-to-day site activities.
- Represent the business professionally when working with customers and contractors.
- Undertake accredited training and development, including Forklift Truck (FLT) training.
About You
Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel and work on sites across the UK.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
- Previous labouring experience.
- Construction or on-site operational experience.
- Experience operating machinery or plant equipment.
- FLT experience (licence not required as training will be provided).

Please note: Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have their own transport, as our Manor Farm depot is not located on a main public transport route.
Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
