Due to increasing global demand and exciting growth plans, we are recruiting additional Salt Operatives to join our production team in Goldhanger, Essex.
The Role
This is a hands-on, physically active role suited to candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment. You will play an important part in maintaining product quality, operational efficiency, and health & safety standards across the site.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate and maintain equipment across primary and secondary production areas
· Carry out shift and weekly equipment checks
· Perform quality inspections to ensure salt meets specification standards
· Complete product quality and traceability documentation accurately
· Follow site quality systems and quality control procedures
· Escalate operational issues, non-compliance, or equipment failures when required
· Participate in first-line fault finding and problem-solving activities
· Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
· Use hand pallet trucks and electric pallet trucks safely
· Carry out pan set-up, salt production/raking, pan emptying, drying/storage, and pan chipping
· Maintain effective communication with team members and management
· Follow all health & safety procedures and take reasonable care for yourself and others

Working Hours & Shift Patterns Until 30 September 2026
6:30am – 12:30pm
From 1 October 2026 onwards
8:00am – 2:00pm
Available Shift Patterns
1. Monday to Saturday (Tuesday & Sunday off)
2. Monday to Saturday (Wednesday & Sunday off)
Voluntary overtime is regularly available, subject to business needs.
