Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and setting up necessary equipment
- Support patients by providing reassurance, explaining procedures, and ensuring their needs are met
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment information using IT systems
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas in accordance with health and safety standards
- Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient correspondence
- Filing patient records
- Follow infection control protocols diligently to uphold the highest standards of hygiene
- Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and external suppliers to facilitate efficient practice operations
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of patient care principles and healthcare practices
- Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Interest in nursing or healthcare professions, with a willingness to learn new skills
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- IT literacy for maintaining electronic records and appointment scheduling
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with patients and team members
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy clinical environment
- No prior experience required; training will be provided to support your development as a dental nurse trainee
