Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Financial Manager to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to play a key role in managing the organisation's financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting business growth through insightful financial analysis.
Working closely with senior management, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial information, improving financial processes, and providing commercial support across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital to support business operations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective financial controls and processes.
- Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
- Support external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.
- Supervise and develop members of the finance team.
- Partner with department managers to support budgeting, cost control, and financial decision-making.
- Assist with business planning, forecasting, and strategic projects.
About You
You are a motivated and commercially aware finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a Financial Manager, Finance Manager, or similar role.
- Strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent understanding of financial controls and accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with finance or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
