About the Role
Eximius is looking for compassionate and dedicated Live-in Carers to support clients in their own homes. You will live with the client and provide high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
This role involves supporting daily living activities and complex care needs as assessed by Eximius.
You will be supported by a Care Manager and receive full training where required.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care & Daily Living
- Assisting with getting up and going to bed
- Washing, bathing, dressing and toileting
- Supporting continence needs and use of personal aids/equipment
- Supporting mobility and physical disabilities
- Providing care for clients who are unwell or terminally ill
- Offering emotional support and companionship
Healthcare Support (Training Provided)
- Supporting medication and promoting independence with self-administration
- Undertaking delegated healthcare tasks following training and competency sign-off
- Working under the supervision of the Complex Care Supervisor
Domestic & Lifestyle Support
- Preparing, serving and clearing meals
- Ensuring safe food preparation and storage
- Making and changing beds
- Light cleaning and general tidying
- Laundry and basic clothing care
- Supporting hobbies, outings, reading, and social activities
- Supporting appointments and reminders
Communication & Record Keeping
- Completing daily care notes on the PASS system (no handwritten notes)
- Reading and writing reports and contributing to client reviews
- Reporting any changes in health or circumstances promptly
- Liaising with healthcare professionals and other agencies
- Communicating effectively with other carers involved in the client’s care
- Supporting and liaising with the client’s family as directed
Additional Responsibilities
- Undertaking night-time duties where reasonably required
- Adhering to all Eximius policies and procedures
- Maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards
- Complying with health and safety responsibilities at all times
Delegated Healthcare Tasks (Training & Competency Required)
May include:
- PEG care
- Catheter care
- Stoma care
- Neurogenic bowel and bladder management
- Respiratory management
- Pressure area and tissue viability care
- Autonomic dysreflexia management

Desirable
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport
- Knowledge of additional languages
- Previous care experience (preferred but not essential – training provided)
