The Fuel Handling Systems team is responsible for developing the systems that safely move, store and manage nuclear fuel throughout the reactor lifecycle. Working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will partner with specialists across systems, safety, licensing, operations and the supply chain to deliver critical programme milestones.
This is a key technical leadership opportunity within our Engineering function. You will lead the delivery of a defined Fuel Handling Systems design area, ensuring solutions are technically robust, compliant and aligned with programme objectives. Alongside providing technical direction, you will manage engineers, coordinate suppliers and engage with stakeholders across the business to support design maturity and delivery.
What We'll Need You to Do
Own delivery of your assigned scope, ensuring programme milestones, quality standards, budgets and resource plans are achieved.
Manage technical interfaces, requirements and stakeholder relationships across engineering, safety, licensing and operations functions.
The salary band for this role will be between £60,000 – £78,750 dependent on the skills, values and knowledge you bring. There may be flexibility with the starting salary in exceptional cases, and the role may develop further as the programme grows.

Obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance- Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
