Marketing Assistant — Job DescriptionAbout Us
The Mill Group is an independent hospitality group based in and around Stokesley, with a growing collection of venues, each with its own identity, audience and personality.
Our current sites include:
- The Mill — a busy pub and restaurant in Stokesley, known for food, drinks, sport, events and its strong local community.
- Il Mulino — our Italian restaurant, focused on relaxed dining, quality food and a warm, modern atmosphere.
- Hood — a lively bar and food venue with a younger, more social feel, hosting drinks offers, events, live entertainment and casual dining.
We’re also expanding, with two new venues opening soon:
- Industry — a modern breakfast and diner concept bringing a fresh take on the classic café and greasy spoon.
- The Spread — our latest addition to The Mill Group, opening soon.
As our group grows, so does our marketing. Each venue has its own brand, tone of voice and customer, which means the role offers plenty of variety across social media, content creation, events, food and drink marketing, design and brand development.
You’ll work across the group alongside the Marketing Manager, helping bring each venue to life online while keeping each brand distinct.

Previous marketing, social media, hospitality or content creation experience would be useful, but isn’t essential if you can demonstrate strong creative ability through a portfolio, social account or examples of your work.
What We Offer
- Staff discount on food and drinks across The Mill Group venues
- Hybrid working, with the opportunity to work from home where appropriate
- A varied role working across multiple hospitality brands rather than one single account
- Opportunities to be involved in new venue openings, campaigns and events
- Hands-on experience across social media, content creation, design, email marketing and digital marketing
- The opportunity to develop your skills and take on more responsibility as the group grows
- A mix of office, venue and remote working
- Creative freedom within established brand guidelines
- A supportive working environment with direct access to the Marketing Manager and wider management team
