Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
- Assist in the planning and execution of daily menus
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of any shortages or required supplies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Serve food to customers when required, maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or contamination
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends if required
- Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential
