Job Summary
We are looking for compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistants to join our care home team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centered care to residents, supporting their physical, emotional, and social well-being while promoting dignity, choice, and independence in a safe and homely environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
- Support with mobility, repositioning, and the safe use of hoists and other equipment.
- Assist with medication prompts or administration (in line with training and policy).
- Serve meals, support residents with eating and drinking, and monitor dietary needs.
- Maintain residents' living areas to a clean, comfortable, and safe standard.
- Monitor and record residents’ health, wellbeing, and any changes in condition, reporting concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and encourage participation in social and recreational activities.
- Uphold care home policies, safeguarding procedures, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature with a genuine passion for supporting elderly or vulnerable individuals.
- Previous experience in a care home or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential full training will be provided.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Reliable, organized, and able to follow care plans and procedures.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
- A valid UK driving license is beneficial but not required for care home-based work.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour
