We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our family ran hotel in the heat of Belford. The Blue Bell Hotel sits at the centre of village life in Belford and has a stunning history.
This role involves delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring smooth restaurant & bar operations, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. There are flexible working hours as we look to build our team on the bar , restaurant and for breakfast service.
Full training is offered onsite so if you are new to hospitality you will have the value of training from our great team.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and manage reservations efficiently
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Provide excellent guest service, addressing any enquiries or special requests
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness of service areas
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
- Maintain a tidy and organised front of house environment throughout shifts
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Manage guest feedback professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation skills are advantageous
- Familiarity with serving procedures, guest services, and upselling techniques is beneficial
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour are essential for providing outstanding guest experiences
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately and managing bills confidently
- Basic IT skills for updating the hotel booking system & replying to emails

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.75-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 45.0 per week
