The Pathway Group operates residential care homes for adults with learning disabilities in West Sussex, Kent and Surrey. The business has developed an extensive technical infrastructure with numerous systems supporting care, staffing, compliance and general management of the homes. Following recent expansion, Pathway is now looking to recruit an experienced IT professional to manage this infrastructure and support senior management to further grow and develop the business.
Role Overview
The IT & Infrastructure Support Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and security of the organisation's IT environment. This is a hands-on role covering Microsoft 365 administration, hardware and network management, mobile communications, and IT asset lifecycle planning. The role holder will act as the primary point of contact for IT support, ensuring reliable, secure, and well-maintained systems across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced administration and support for the organisation's Microsoft 365 environment, including user accounts, mailboxes, security groups, and licensing
- Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops and other end-user hardware
- Manage and troubleshoot office networks, including routers, switches, and Wi-Fi infrastructure
- Manage hardware including printers and other shared office equipment, including servicing and fault resolution
- Liaise with internet and telecoms providers to resolve connectivity issues and manage service contracts
- Provide onsite IT support across office locations, including travel to other sites as required
- Manage mobile communications, including handsets, SIMs, and associated contracts
- Conduct regular IT equipment audits and maintain accurate asset registers
- Manage the capital replacement programme for IT equipment, including budgeting input and lifecycle planning
- Maintain IT security standards, including patching, access controls, and endpoint protection
- Identify, recommend, and implement IT best practice across the organisation
Requirements
- Advanced, hands-on experience administering a Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID/Azure AD, Teams)
- Strong working knowledge of laptop and hardware configuration and deployment
- Practical experience with office networking (routers, switches, Wi-Fi, basic troubleshooting)
- Experience managing printers and other office hardware
- Confidence liaising directly with ISPs and telecoms providers
- Experience managing mobile device fleets and contracts
- Understanding of IT asset management and capital replacement planning
- Sound knowledge of IT security best practice
- Able to work independently, prioritise a varied workload, and travel between sites as required
- Full UK driving licence (site travel required)
