Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Team member/Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting our products efficiently and safely to various locations as well as installation. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely deliveries. As a Team Member you will be a vital support to our Workshop Team producing our products.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with workshop staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in workshop duties when not on delivery routes, this could be anything from small glazing tasks and painting to basic roof felting.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices is advantageous.
- Experience in heavy lifting and handling large items is beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record is required.
- A current CSCS card would be an advantage.
We are essentially seeking a key Team member who is looking to work with an established local business on a full time permanent basis.
