HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER – TRAFFORD PARK
Smart Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for HGV Class 2 Skip Drivers to join a busy and growing waste management operation based in Trafford Park.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Class 2 Driver looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with competitive pay, overtime opportunities and the potential for permanent employment.
JOB DETAILS
Location: Trafford Park
Night Rate: £21.09 per hour
SHIFT PATTERN
Monday to Friday
- 15:00 – 00:30
- £21.09 per hour
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a Class 2 Skip or RoRo vehicle safely and professionally
- Deliver and collect skips and containers across designated routes
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Ensure loads are secure and transported in accordance with regulations
- Complete all relevant paperwork accurately
- Maintain high standards of customer service
- Comply with Driver Hours, Health & Safety, and company procedures
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid HGV Class 2 / Cat C licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 1 year of HGV Class 2 driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence
- No major driving offences, including DR, DD, CD or similar disqualifying offences
- Previous waste industry experience is desirable but NOT essential
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling
- Comfortable working independently and as a lone driver
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
- Good knowledge of commercial driving regulations and road safety
