This is a key role within our business, helping to keep the kitchen running efficiently and ensuring our chefs have everything they need to deliver the high standards our customers expect. Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitise all kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery, cookware and utensils to maintain excellent hygiene standards.
- Keep all kitchen areas clean, organised and compliant with food safety regulations.
- Support the chefs with basic food preparation when required.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring stock is put away safely and efficiently.
- Empty bins, manage waste and recycling, and maintain a clean external waste area.
- Restock cleaning products, kitchen equipment and consumables as required.
- Help prepare the kitchen before service and ensure it is thoroughly cleaned down at the end of each shift.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations during busy service periods.
- Carry out additional duties as reasonably requested to support the wider team.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
