At Glebe House (Charnwood) LTD, we have been supporting individuals for over 40 years. Today, we assist more than 100 clients and employ around 70 staff members - 30 of whom have been with us for over a decade. Our services span across Leicestershire, offering a wide range of flexible support options designed to enhance the lives of both the people we support and their families. We provide services such as Community Life Choices, Overnight short breaks, and Saturday/Play schemes for Children.
Your role:
- Follow care plans and provide person-centred support to clients, whilst working collaboratively as part of a team, undertaking a key working role for a small number of clients.
- Assist with physical and personal care when needed, whilst promoting independence. This includes pushing wheelchairs, medication, lone working and personal care.
- To be involved in the development of risk assessments, planning activities and assisting in these being carried out.
Experience in care is preferred, though not essential. We offer full training and development for those with the drive and passion to make a difference. A car or minibus driver with at least two years of driving experience is desirable.
What is essential is a person centred approach and a positive and empowering approach to individuals with learning disabilities.
We can offer work in one or more of our 4 teams potentially, with vacancies available within our community life choices teams working with:
1. Transitions team- Younger people, predominately within the community, 18-30 years old.
2. Adult services- Clients aged 30 plus within the community.
3. Autism and PMLD- Clients with a range of sensory needs
4. Work-skills- Clients engaged in gardening, craft, carpentry, and a range of other work activities.
Hours: We can offer a range of hours and shifts, full time, part time, weekends, bank and relief.
Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour
