Role: Professional Development Coach specialising in catering apprenticeships
Location: Ideally based in Milton Keynes, this is a field-based role with regular travel to employer and EduBase Academy sites.
Contract: Permanent 37.5 hours/week | 52 weeks/year.
Working pattern: Monday-Friday.
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum | Company car.

About you

You are a qualified assessor: This is a field-based position for someone who has demonstratable catering experience, ideally with a professional culinary qualification and a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.

You are skilled in supporting learners to succeed: Your experience as an assessor enables you to support learners to fulfil their course requirements through observations within their workplace and written work submitted via their e-portfolio. You will identify gaps in their knowledge, skills and behaviours and provide appropriate opportunities to support their growth in these areas, resulting in them completing their programmes on time.

You are knowledgeable: You are comfortable delivering face-to-face group training sessions at our EduBase Academy sites in Newport Pagnell, Oxford and Southall and at the learner’s workplace, cascading your knowledge of the apprenticeship standards to support learners to achieve.

You are an advocate for safeguarding: You always ensure the well-being and safety of the children in our nurseries, your learners and your colleagues.

You are collaborative: You enjoy working in partnership with others across our partnership and with external employers and professionals, are skilled in tailoring your communication and teaching style, will attend regular standardisation meetings, and direct and support your learners to resources in preparation for achieving functional skills.
