Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Pharmacy Delivery Driver to join our team. This vital role involves ensuring timely and safe delivery of prescriptions and healthcare products to our customers’ homes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in delivery or warehouse operations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to patient care through efficient service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver prescriptions and healthcare items to customers within the local community.
- Ensure accurate order fulfillment and proper handling of medications during transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, conducting regular safety checks and reporting any issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing friendly assistance and confirming delivery details.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as stock movement, inventory management, and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure safe driving practices and secure handling of goods.
- Support the pharmacy team with additional duties as required to ensure smooth daily operations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role.
- Valid driver’s license suitable for commercial driving; <PERSON> driver certification is advantageous.
- Experience with commercial driving vehicles and understanding of road safety regulations.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks associated with warehouse work.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures, inventory management, and safety protocols.
- Reliable, punctual, with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
