Experienced Pallet Sorter & Repairer – Widnes
EXPERIENCED PALLET SORTER & REPAIRER WANTED
Based at our main depot, Hutchinson Street, Widnes, WA8 0GX
We’re looking for an experienced pallet sorter & repairer to join our team at Palltech Pallets Ltd.
Working alongside our existing team, you’ll be responsible for sorting, repairing and preparing pallets ready for delivery to our customers.
The Role
- Sorting pallets to quality and customer requirements
- Repairing damaged pallets
- Using electric saws and nail guns
- Loading, moving and stacking pallets
- Working as part of a busy team
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working area
- Preparing pallets to be delivered to customers
This Job Is Physically Demanding
This is a hands-on, physical role involving heavy lifting and manual work throughout the day.
You will:
- Be on your feet for the full working day
- Regularly lift, move and stack heavy pallets
- Work outdoors under cover
- Use power tools including electric saws and nail guns
You must be physically fit and capable of carrying out heavy manual work throughout the day.
Applicants must be able to safely undertake the physical requirements of the role and must not have any existing back, shoulder or neck problems that could be aggravated by the work.
Working Hours
Monday – Friday
Arrive on site: 7:45am
Working hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
2 breaks throughout the day
What We're Looking For
- Previous pallet sorting and/or repair experience essential
- Experience using nail guns and power tools
- Reliable and hardworking
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy manual work
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Good attitude and strong work ethic
- Own transport / ability to reliably get to Hutchinson Street, Widnes for 7:45am
