Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Site Fitter to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing a variety of works across the project.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise expertise within a dynamic construction environment.
Candidates will need a strong knowledge and experience installing Architectural Metalwork (Panelling, steel works, balustrades, etc) use of both power and hand tools are required. .
Duties
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately fit components on-site
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials such as sheet metal and structural components
- Install structural elements with precision, ensuring alignment and secure fastening
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly after use
- Assist in troubleshooting installation issues and making necessary adjustments during fitting processes
Experience
- Proven experience
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools,
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately
- Prior experience working on-site in a similar role is essential
- Strong attention to detail, safety-conscious attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
This position is offered on a self-employed basis for an initial period of approximately three months, with the possibility of extensions up to 6 months.
Due to the site location driving to site is recommened, however public transport options from Basingstoke trainstation is avaiable via bus. .
Job Type: Fixed term contract
