We are currently seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to work within our Warehouse team. This role will support the Warehouse Manager, oversee day-to-day warehouse activity, and ensure procedures, food safety standards, and best practices are consistently followed.
What will my role look like?
As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising warehouse operations, leading and supporting the warehouse team, and ensuring stock is received, stored, and issued accurately and safely. You will act as a key point of contact for the team on shift and help drive efficiency and high standards across the warehouse.
Role Duties
- Supervise, support, and motivate warehouse operatives on a day-to-day basis
- Ensure all raw materials and packaging are received, checked, and stored correctly
- Coordinate picking and dispatch of stock to production teams in line with schedules
- Operate forklifts and ensure safe use of all warehouse equipment
- Ensure stock accuracy through good stock control practices and regular stock counts
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and housekeeping
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
- Support the Warehouse Manager with training, performance monitoring, and process improvements
- Help establish, review, and uphold best practices within warehouse operations
What we’re looking for
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Valid Fork Lift Truck (FLT) licence (essential)
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and stock control processes
- Good attention to detail with the ability to follow and enforce procedures
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
- Reliable, organised, and confident leading a team
- A proactive approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
