Job Title: Shop Assistant - Temporary
Reports to: Shop Manager
Age related minimum wage.
We need any applicants to be fully flexible and be able to comit to weekdays and weekends
Purpose of the Job/Context
- Setting up and stocking shop prior to opening
- General shop duties – Tills, restocking, customer help/advice
- looking for people to work Monday to Friday
- Hours are 8.30am -6pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up and initial stocking of shop
- Sorting stock into categories
- Operating tills incorporating cash handling and card transactions
- Complying with the rota set out for weekly staffing – weekend availability essential
- Ensuring your area of responsibility (tills, trees, decorations, lights) is maintained to the required standard with stock, presentation and cleanliness
- Work with colleagues to ensure that all areas of the shop, and external area (inc. storage area) are kept neat and tidy
- Actively encourage customers to buy products that are a clearance line
- Restock product as and when required – heavy lifting may be involved
- Represent Festive Productions Ltd in a kind and courteous manner at all times
- Deal with any incoming customer complaints/returns and actively encourage them to repurchase goods as replacements or offering alternatives
