Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Support individuals with their daily routines according to personalised care plans
- Monitor and record health conditions, reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Help clients with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ quality of life
- Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems for care records
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Drive between different locations for home visits or appointments when necessary
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training can be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately
- Good IT skills for maintaining electronic records and documentation
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
