Digital Marketing Assistant: Paid Media, CRM & Social
This is a rare opportunity to join the in-house marketing team at Clubhouse Golf, one of the UK's largest golf retailers. We have exceptionally high staff retention, so when a position becomes available, we're looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career with us. You'll support marketing campaigns reaching millions of website visitors each year, and social media channels with audiences across the UK and Europe.
The Role
Reporting to the Marketing Director and working closely with our Performance Marketing Lead, you'll gain hands-on experience across Paid Media, Email Marketing and Social Media, learning from experienced specialists in each area.
Rather than being limited to one discipline, you'll work across multiple marketing channels, giving you a broad foundation before deciding where you'd like your career to progress.
Paid Media
Working alongside our Paid Media team, you'll help support campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta.
- Reviewing search terms
- Maintaining negative keyword lists
- Monitoring campaign budgets
- Checking product feeds
- Carrying out competitor research
- Maintaining audience lists
- Assisting with reporting
- Supporting the day-to-day management of paid campaigns
Email Marketing
Working with our CRM team, you'll help prepare and send customer email campaigns using Mailchimp.
- Building email campaigns using pre-prepared campaign assets
- Scheduling campaigns
- Sending test emails
- Carrying out quality assurance checks before campaigns are sent
Campaign planning, product selection and promotional content are managed by the CRM team. Your role is to prepare, build and quality check campaigns before they go live, but as the role develops this could turn into more autonomy.
Social Media
- Schedule content across our social channels
- Respond to customer comments and messages
- Contribute ideas for future content
Our Social team creates the content and plans the schedule. You'll help keep everything running smoothly.
Wider Marketing
- Basic SEO tasks
- Light image editing in Adobe Photoshop
- Supporting wider marketing projects when required
What We're Looking For
Experience is a bonus, not a requirement. Whether you're looking for your first role after university or already have some marketing experience, we're far more interested in your attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Essential
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- Good written communication
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel
- Able to manage multiple priorities
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Genuine interest in digital marketing
Desirable
- A marketing degree or similar qualification
- Previous marketing experience through employment, an internship or placement year
- Experience using Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Business Manager, Mailchimp or Adobe Photoshop
No golfing knowledge is required, although an interest in golf would be a huge advantage.
Training & Career Development
You'll receive training from experienced specialists across Paid Media, Email Marketing and Social Media. We don't expect you to know everything from day one. As your experience grows, you'll take on more responsibility, contribute more ideas and begin developing towards a specialist role within the department.
