Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter/Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer as required
- Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Ensure colour matching and finish consistency across different surfaces and materials
- Protect surrounding areas by covering floors, furniture, and fixtures during painting activities
- Follow technical specifications and client instructions to achieve desired results
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any repairs needed
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during work activities
- Collaborate with clients or project managers to ensure project specifications are met within deadlines
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites
- Excellent communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to work tasks
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or instructions accurately
- Good physical fitness with the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces if required
- Reliable team player with a professional attitude towards safety standards
